It is not a secret that I am a big fan of Lisa Renee Jones. A couple of years ago I was on a book binge and came across "The Bastard". I was hooked and had to read the rest of the series from there.
"The Bastard" is a fantastic book with a bit of a taboo twist. This may not be for everyone and that I do understand. The twist is that the main characters are step-siblings that have never been raised together. They have an age gap between them.
The story follows the unique story of their relationship. It is suspenseful and interesting. The story is always unique and interesting when written by Lisa Renee Jones. The story does not focus mainly on the fact they are related through marriage.
The story is about two very different people who are drawn to one another. They make their way through their issues, their lives, their family... and in the end the series is a fantastic read!
Have you read the series? If you have let me know what you thought about it. If the taboo aspect is too much for you then what is a series you are currently enjoying?
