The Crossfire Series by Sylvia Day has always been one of my favorites. It is the ten year anniversary of the series and I was inspired to read it again. I am enjoying it and plan to continue to read them until I complete the series.
Have you read the series? I have never really been close to someone else who has read the series. I did see that a woman that I watch on "BookTube" mentioned it on her video. However, she really disliked the series and said some very negative things about it.
My first thought when she explained her thoughts and feelings was "We are different generations. Her generation thinks that way... but mine is more open minded." That is no to say either way of thinking is right or wrong. It is just different.
Gideon Cross in my mind is a perfectly imperfect male lead to a classic love story. Other women in the younger generation find him to be unacceptable and problematic. They find issue with the story itself. I respect their opinions although I heartily disagree.
If you have read the series... what did you think?
I am also starting to re-read the "Red Door" series by Dyan Layne. I love the sex positivity in the series and the interesting stories. The series is well written and a series I have always enjoyed. I know that it will not appeal to everyone. But, I have always enjoyed them!
Have you read the Red Door series? If so what did you think? I would love to hear from you in the comments down below.
